How to Sell Players Quickly in Football Manager 26

Selling players in Football Manager 26 isn’t always going to be as easy as it sounds. Even with all of the new tools at your disposal this year, you can still end up stuck with bloated squads, unhappy backups, or fringe players that no one seems to want. Whether you’re managing a tight wage budget or trying to raise funds for a marquee signing you’ve scouted, knowing how to move players on efficiently can make or break your save.

In this article, we’ve compiled some tips for how to get rid of players in as quick a fashion as possible so you can move on to bigger and better things (or players).

Using An Intermediary Is The Quickest Way

In most cases, players will often be content with transfer listing a player, setting the price, and letting the offers come in. However, not all players will be desirable at first glance, so market interest will be scarce. But if you want to get rid of a player as quickly as possible, using an intermediary will likely be your best bet.

In Football Manager 26, an intermediary acts as a middleman between your club and potential buyers. Instead of handling the negotiations yourself, you can pay an intermediary a small percentage of the eventual transfer fee to shop the player around to other clubs. They’ll use their network to generate interest, often surfacing offers you might not get through the standard transfer list alone. It’s especially useful for offloading unwanted or overpaid players who aren’t attracting bids.

To use an intermediary, go to your First Team and find the player you’d like to sell. Once you’ve located the player, click on them, then click the Actions dropdown just below their name. From there, hover over Transfer, then click Hire An Intermediary to Sell Player.

Once you’ve done all of that, you should be given several intermediary options. The amount of time it will take to generate market interest for the player, the value they can be sold for, and the fee percentage will vary depending on which intermediary you choose. For instance, an intermediary who can find a deal by the next day will likely command a slightly higher fee than others who may need a few more days.

This isn’t foolproof, as not every player will be able to generate even moderate interest in the transfer market. However, if you have a player that can be sold and needs to be gone ASAP, this is by far the quickest method.
