How to see Starlink satellites over Northern Ireland tonight

The Starlink satellites train will again be soaring across Northern Ireland's night sky on Friday evening (May 8).

The satellites are part of a scheme by tech entrepreneur Elon Musk’s SpaceX company, launched with the aim of improving global internet coverage.

The satellites are being launched in batches, with different batches visible at different times in a 'train' of lights.

The third set of satellites to launch - known as Starlink-3, will be visible over Northern Ireland at 10.11pm (West to East) and 11.47pm (West to Southeast) on Friday.

And up until at least May 11 - a cluster of satellites known as Starlink will be crossing the night sky.

If you want to track the satellites in real-time, you can visit the  Find Starlink website.

The site allows you to view the satellites' location in real-time on a map, or input your location to see exactly when the satellites will be visible from your home.
