You have arrived at the right place if you were wondering how to respec your character’s Attributes and Skills in Titan Quest 2.
Resetting your character’s Attributes and Skills allows you to make changes to your builds or even create them from scratch and experiment. At the time of writing, the game is in early access with four Masteries available.
As you progress with the storyline, you unlock a second Mastery, which means you will have even more possibilities of shuffling things up as you like when it comes to making your best build. Here’s everything you need to know about how to respec in TQ2.
How to respec Masteries in Titan Quest 2
Once you start leveling up and unlock Masteries, both Core and the one you’ve chosen (out of Storm, Earth, Rogue, and Warfare), you can press the Escape button and click on the Masteries tab from the top, and then the Respec Mode button from the bottom right of the screen.

After clicking on the Respec Mode button, you can either add or subtract Active and Passive points you’ve collected by completing quests and killing enemies along the way.
Adding points will increase the Skill Level of your Mastery. Once you’ve made the adjustments, all you need to do is hit the Accept button, and you’re done.
Does it cost anything to respec in Titan Quest 2?
Yes, it costs Gold to respec Masteries in Titan Quest 2. Each Active and Passive Skill Point you want to respec will cost 5 Gold.
So, if you want to refund everything and start from scratch, you have to have a big chunk of Gold to pay the respec fees. Getting Gold is easy, though—kill enemies to earn XP (you can change the difficulty to earn more XP), complete missions, and sell off unnecessary items from your inventory to the General Merchant.
What resets when you respec in Titan Quest 2
When you respec, the following things reset in Titan Quest 2:
- Active Skill Points
- Passive Skill Points
- Skill Modifiers
Remember, changing Skill Modifiers will not cost Gold, and you can do that at any time.
How to respec Attributes in Titan Quest 2
You can respec Attributes only from the Rituals of Athena Shrine in Titan Quest 2. What it does is refund all invested attribute points after performing the required ritual, and it will cost various amounts of Gold, unlike Masteries.
The Ritual of Athena Shrines are found in villages, and you will get the full list of Rituals after interacting with them.
