A complete respec of a character is paramount if you want to explore new avenues in combat, so let’s see if No Rest for the Wicked provides you with this creative freedom.
In No Rest for the Wicked, you can become an expert with two-handed weapons, adept with a bow, or slug enemies in the face with your bare fists. You can move slower than a snail, or roll around with more conviction than Sonic the Hedgehog—such is the versatility of stat distribution and leveling up.
However, many players get to a point where they fancy a change and want to tweak their Strength or maybe move around some regretful Skill Points into another key area. Here’s what you need to know about respeccing in No Rest for the Wicked.
Can you respec or reset stats in No Rest for the Wicked?

Yes, you can now respec or reset your stats in No Rest for the Wicked. But resetting your attribute points will cost you Fallen Embers, so I would still suggest that you allocate your attribute points wisely in the first place. Fallen Embers can be quite troublesome to acquire, and having to spend them simply to reallocate your attributes instead of progressing through the quests that require this resource.
You can find Fallen Embers randomly across the various chests available across the map. Apart from acting as a currency for resetting your stats, it is also used as a form of payment to enter the Cerim Trial. Additionally, it is essential for progressing through the Spoken And Unspoken quest and a few other parts of the storyline.
How to reset your stats in No Rest for the Wicked
Although the developers did introduce a method to reset your stats in No Rest for the Wicked, it does not happen until the later stages of the storyline. You will need to complete the For Rats and Raiders quest before accessing the region where you can respec. Once you have completed that quest, here’s the list of steps you need to follow to reset your attribute points:
- Go to the Stonemason’s house and enter the Crucible, the endgame dungeon. This house is located in the northwest region of the city.
- Inside the dungeon, go down the hole in the ground to reach a spacious chamber with a large face on the wall. This face is a door, and you will be able to unlock it by sacrificing a bit of your blood if you have progressed far enough.
- Once inside the door, take the flight of stairs to go down into the Atrium of the Crucible. Here you will find a statue located on the eastern side.
- Head over to this statue and interact with it to respec your attribute points.
Following this series of steps will allow you to reset your stats and fit them according to your current needs in the game. However, although resetting your stats isn’t the most expensive part of the game, it will still cost you some Fallen Embers, so make sure you have a decent amount saved up before going to the Atrium of the Crucible.
How much does it cost to reset your stats?
Resetting your stats will cost you one Fallen Ember for each attribute point you reallocate. For this reason, resettling all your stats, especially towards the later stages of the game, can cost you quite a heavy chunk of Fallen Embers in No Rest for the Wicked.
