How to respec and change attributes in Titan Quest 2

Titan Quest 2 is now out on early access with four different Masteries, but the game also allows you to experiment with different builds thanks to its built-in system when it comes to attributes.

Like any ARPG, you will level up by playing the game and get different leveling items. You can use them on skill trees to unlock and improve different options based on your selected Masteries (you get to pick two out of four as of writing).

However, let's find out how to use the system and experiment with as many builds as you want.

Does it cost anything to respect in Titan Quest 2?

I am unsure if this will change in the future, but as of writing on Aug. 3, there are no extra charges to respec. You can reset your build and try something else, and do this as many times as you want in Titan Quest 2.

Three important parameters will be reset.

  • Skills: All points invested in your active abilities will be reset immediately, and you can invest them elsewhere.
  • Passives: All Passive Points will be removed, and you can unlock new feats by spending either six or twelve points.
  • Modifiers: Skill modifiers are a useful way to determine how they work, and you can implement new ones after a respec.

The degree to which you want to reset your build depends on you, and let's find out how to enact the process.

How to respec in Titan Quest 2

The option of resetting your build can be found in the skills section.

  • Open the Respect Mode with the dedicated button. This automatically displays all available Masteries and their respective skill trees.
  • Select an ability, and you'll get to reset the invested points.
  • Next, reinvest these points in new skills that you want.
  • The same process also applies to Feats and Modifiers.

This amazing feature (of respec) allows you to make as many changes as you want, and it's a refreshing change from the typical system that's staple for class-based ARPGs.
