How to reach the Night Market in ESO

The Night Market is the biggest and most lucrative attraction of The Elder Scrolls Online‘s Season Zero: Dawn and Dusk. It introduces a new PvE event zone where you can side with one of three factions and explore three distinct zones full of environmental puzzles and challenging enemy encounters.

The Night Market is designed for group play and features some of the most challenging PvE content in ESO. You can reach it by accessing the Night Market event in the Quest Starters section of the Crown Store. Alternatively, you can fast-travel to the Starlit Plaza wayshrine in the Fargrave city of the Deadlands Zone.

However, reaching the Night Market is only the beginning. There’s plenty to see and do, much of which can be overwhelming. As such, below we explain how to start the Night Market event in ESO and what to expect from it.

Once you’re in the Starlit Plaza of the Night Market, talk to the mysterious Dremora in the area, the Curator, and side with one of three factions: The Glittering Road, The Ruckus, and The Thousand Eyes.

However, before you do so, we recommend talking to each faction’s representatives first. Once you have made up your mind, talk to the Curator again to finalize your faction. Your introduction quest will differ depending on the faction you side with. Please note that you can’t change your faction until the first phase of the Night Market event concludes on June 17, 2026.

Irrespective of who you side with, completing the introductory quest will unlock the Night’s Den. It’s the new player house in ESO, which you can upgrade by unlocking achievements through the Night Market.

What happens in ESO’s Night Market?

ESO’s Night Market consists of three districts. These are Sorrow’s Friends, the Skittering Precinct, and the Parch. Each district boasts unique traversal challenges that you must overcome, either alone or with other players, to explore every nook and cranny of these areas. Expect to encounter environmental hazards and bosses along the way.

Enemies in these districts hit hard, similar to the ones you would find in ESO’s dungeons. However, unlike dungeons, these are public spaces where you can encounter other teams also fighting for a common goal.

Not every area within a district will be accessible from the get-go. You will need special relics to overcome these obstacles, such as the Gleaming Lamp for passing through the Baleful Darkness, an environmental hazard that fogs certain sections of the districts. These relics can be obtained from slaying enemies and bosses in the Night Market districts.

As for activities, expect to encounter:

  • Quests (story, side, daily)
  • Daring Races (time-gated traversal challenges)
  • Oddities (encounters full of environmental puzzles)
  • Zone Monsters
  • Skirmish Events
  • Zone Bosses (Argent, Brazen, Calamitous, Gilded, Opulent)

What rewards can you get in ESO’s Night Market?

Completing Night Market’s activities will earn you favour. Gaining favour will increase your reputation with your faction, which you can cash in to unlock new wares. There are faction-exclusive rewards as well, such as monster sets, dyes, and banners. Additionally, you can unlock new house wings for Night’s Den, furnishing items, and collectibles.

As always, slaying monsters will grant XP, gold, and occasional gear. Defeating certain bosses in the Night Market will also get you Trade Bars, which you can spend in the Gold Coast Bazaar.

At the end of Night Market, one of the three factions will emerge victorious, similar to Guardian Games in Destiny 2. Depending on your faction’s ranking, you can earn the following rewards:

Night Market Faction standing Night Market Faction rewards
Winner x1 Legendary quality faction armor set
x2 Large banner furnishings (your faction)

That’s all there is to the Night Market in ESO.
