Killing Floor 3 features cross-platform support at launch, making it extremely easy for you to squad up with your friends and play together.
Tripwire's shooter lets you play alone or team up with random strangers online. While matchmaking is pretty straightforward and will enable you to enjoy co-op, you can form a squad with other players if you want. This can also include your buddies, and the platforms they're using don't matter.
This guide will help you matchmake with your friends, as the process can be slightly complicated depending on whether you are all on the same platform or not.
How to form a squad with friends in Killing Floor 3
Killing Floor 3 allows you to form a squad of up to six players. Hence, you and any five of your friends can play together to massacre zeds with extreme prejudice.

If you're like me and on PC, all your Steam friends should automatically show on your list if they own the game. You can also manually invite other players from the online play menu (as shown in the screenshot above). Press the Esc button to open the menu, and you'll get the option to invite other players (on the same platform).
To make matters easier, you can also send a friend request to players you've played with recently. This allows you to form a squad with another compatriot who might not be your friend, but you'd like to play with.

If you have friends on another platform, you'll need to share your cross-platform lobby code (alternatively, you can use their code). Doing so will allow you and your friends to get benefits from Killing Floor 3's cross-platform support and play in the same lobby.
That's pretty much all you have to do to play with your friends in the same lobby. Squadding up increases your chances of winning as you get to communicate with one another and coordinate your attacks.
