Capable of leaving even the opposition in awe, nothing can turn a match on its head and warrant a replay in EA FC 26 like a perfect bicycle kick goal, especially if you manage to recreate Ibra’s iconic 30-yard slammer in its full glory.
As you can guess, however, performing the kick will demand more than just jumping. Here’s a full guide on how to perform a bicycle kick on EA FC 26 and a few tips sure to help you score with it.
How To Perform A Bicycle Kick In EA FC 26
You can do a bicycle kick in EA FC 26 by performing a Flair Shot (L2/LT + O/B) in any situation where the ball is heading toward your player from above. Make sure to hold L2/LT while waiting for the ball, though, to avoid scissor kicks and other volleys.
To boost your chances of performing the bicycle in any situation, we then recommend tapping R3 while receiving the ball. That will cause your player to chest it, thus creating the perfect opportunity. For those looking to perform one-touch bicycle kicks, you can easily set them up by doing the following:
- Wait for your striker to pull ahead (make a run forward). Hold L1/LT while close to prompt them to do it.
- Perform a High or Flair Lob pass toward them to send the ball over their head. It can also be done as a back pass within the box.
- Hold L2/LT and go for the Flair Shot while aiming toward the goal.
Using the regular lob pass can also work here, although it won’t give you that extra airtime. You can perform High and Flair Lob Passes in FC 26 by pressing L1/LB + ▢/X and L2/LT + ▢/X, respectively.
Tips To Score Bicycle Kick Goals In EA FC 26
If you are looking to make bicycle kick goals the norm in EA FC 26, the first thing you will need is a clinical passer and a striker capable of easily taking flight. For that, use players with the Acrobatic PlayStyle and formations that facilitate link-ups up front like 4-4-1-1, 4-2-2-2, or my favorite, the 4-4-2. For those having trouble getting their strikers in position, even while using the mentioned formations, going with one Target Forward or Poacher can do wonders. Don’t hesitate to also use the kick when in corners, as just like it was in FC 25, they seem to do the job most of the time.
Focusing on performing short crosses within the box in 2v1 situations is also a valid strategy, as it allows you to 9 out of 10 times get an open goal. The best way to create the scenario? Don’t hesitate to go for deep (or pinged) passes following quick counterattacks, and make sure either your secondary striker, CAM, or wide players have enough pace to leave their markers in the dust.
