A trick that sees you grind while using solely the back truck of your board, the 5-0 allows Skate 4 players to quickly deal with rails or other obstacles without losing momentum or risking easily avoidable falls.
But although fundamental, getting the trick done will require more execution than expected. So you can master it and start racking up points, here’s how to perform the 5-0 Grind consistently in Skate 4.
How To Perform The 5-0 Grind In Skate 4
You can perform all types of 5-0 Grinds in Skate 4 by holding the right analog stick down before landing on a ledge or rail. Upon performing the trick on the latter, we then recommend leaving the obstacle with a simple transition move like the No Comply for an easy chain. To recap, here’s how to perform both the frontside and backside variations of the 5-0 Grind in Skate 4:
- FS/BS 5-0 Grind: Upon performing a ollie or a high jump, hold the right analog stick down before landing on a ledge or rail. Do not let go until you land.

If you are having trouble gaining the altitude needed to execute the trick consistently, utilize well-timed pumps to gain speed. You can check out a more in-depth look at how to perform them in our How To Pump In Skate 4 guide.
