How to move to Sweden: Hundreds of Americans want to move to Scandinavia after Donald Trump's election

Sweden could see a small swell of Americans relocating to flee the upcoming presidency of Donald Trump – that is, if they are qualified to work for a Stockholm advertising agency.

Before the former reality television star became President-elect, Round & Round launched “The Great Trump Escape,” offering Americans the opportunity to apply to the agency in the event of a Trump win – something they never thought would come to fruition.

Now, the agency is overwhelmed with more than 350 portfolios from potential applicants looking for greener pastures.

“We’re painfully aware of the outcome,” Nahir Aslan, Round & Round’s head of content, told The Local. “We didn’t expect it, but now that it’s a fact, we’ll see what happens.

“The polls said Hillary Clinton would win, so we thought this would be a good way to just make a little fun of the election.”

Wednesday morning, the office was a “bit let down”, but Mr Aslan kept a positive outlook.

“There’s a concern for the world, but we’ll manage now, and we have this huge amount of applicants wanting to join us,” he said. “We need to grow and won’t have any problems doing that."
