How to make denim bunting

Why not recycle some old jeans and ribbon to create your own bunting? Perfect to hang up in your garden, at festivals, for summer barbecues and parties.

You will need
Old denim
Fabric ribbon
Pinking shears
Sewing machine (or needle and thread)
Scissors
Card
Pencil

1. Figure out the size you would like your bunting flags to be and cut out a triangular template from a piece of card. Trace this shape onto your denim.

2. Using pinking shears or normal scissors, cut out the triangle shapes from your denim. The longer you want your bunting the more triangles you’ll need.

3. Using your sewing machine or a needle and thread attach the top edge of each triangle to a ribbon using a running stitch. Leave a 5cm gap between each triangle.

4. Once you have sewn on all the triangles you can tie other contrasting ribbons along the length of the bunting to add a boho feel.

5. Hang up and enjoy!
