Sometimes, Destiny 2's objective markers don't function properly or are confusing in how they're presented. This is the case in one of The Edge of Fate's campaign missions.
In The Outer Steppes Strangelet quest, part of the expansion's story, one of the markers in the quest's steps is confusing players, myself included. But once you figure out where you need to go, the rest of the quest is relatively smooth sailing as you use Matterspark, the Relocator, and eventually the new Mattermorph ability to your advantage.
Here's how to find where to go in that pesky Outer Steppes Strangelet Capsule quest.
Destiny 2 Edge of Fate - The Outer Steppes Strangelet Capsule

If you're ever lost in Destiny 2, pull out your Ghost (Tab on PC, Touchpad/Start button on controller) and a marker will give you the general direction of your objective. But in the case of this particular mission, the marker is a bit confusing as there are two ways you need to go.
The first one is simple enough, found by following the marker through the Matterspark tunnels. Once you go through the train and find yourself in an area of the map called The Stacks, things get a little disorienting.
The key here is, after defeating the Stasis and Strand Exiles in the area, your next step is to drop down into a hole in the ground directly in front of where you spawned in, destroy both barrier generators, and then use the Relocator Relay to teleport past the natural wall seen in the images below.

Once you've done this, the markers and the rest of the quest are much more straightforward. Just keep your eyes peeled for generators that need to be charged with Matterspark and Relocators that can teleport you around the area to get where the marker is pointing you.
The final step of the quest is to complete the mission Morphology, which greatly uses Mattermorph, the newly acquired ability. Doing so will reward you with the Outer Steppes Strangelet you need to continue the campaign.
