ARC Raiders is a hoarder's worst nightmare—or is it the ultimate fantasy?
Venturing out into the topside world and leaving the safe haven of Speranza is as daunting as it is exciting. There's a lot of danger out there, but there's also a lot of loot, and you can pick up and take home just about anything you can find out there.
But as many players are finding out, inventory space is limited for players to stash their items like weapons, ammo, and crafting materials. Upgrading the amount of items you can hold in your base is a crucial part of the ARC Raiders experience, and it's not readily apparent how this is done.
Here's how to increase your inventory slots in ARC Raiders.
How to upgrade your Inventory in ARC Raiders
In ARC Raiders, you have your personal backpack inventory when you go topside on missions, and you have your stash Inventory where you can store all of your items. Both of these can be expanded to hold more items, but in very different ways.
To be able to hold more items while playing the game and have more slots to pick up more loot, you need to equip an Augment. Augments offer different inventory buff,s including the number of slots for each kind of item, what kind of shields you can carry, and more.
For example, the Looting Mk.1 Augment offers 18 backpack slots, while the Combat Mk.1 Augment offers 16, and Tactical Mk.1 Augment offers 15. If you're looking to carry more gear, use a Looting Augment. These Augments can be found in the world or crafted within Speranza.
How to Expand Stash in ARC Raiders
You will quickly run out of Inventory space for your stash, so you need to use the Expand Stash button from the Inventory screen to buy more slots. The Expand Stash button can be found on the top left of the screen (pictured below), and you can purchase additional slots using Coins.
The first upgrade is for 5,000 Coins and expands your stash slots by 24. The next upgrade is 10,000 Coins and expands it even further so that you can hoard more items that you don't take with you on missions since you're afraid of losing them. I may be projecting.
This is a good investment in the early game of ARC Raiders, because using the Free Loadout Augment and successfully extracting will quickly load up your stash with items, and you will run out soon. As you play and gain more Coins, you can continue to upgrade
