The Deildegast has three official types of evidence you can look for to identify it, which are Ghost Writing, EMF Level Five, and DOTS Projector. In all standard contracts, you’ll always be able to capture all three. Certain weekly challenges or custom matches may hide evidence, though, so you may sometimes need to identify it with less.
Here’s how to capture all evidence types required to identify a Deildegast.

In addition to its main, officially recognized evidence that is steady and reliable, the Deildegast also possesses an array of other behaviors, patterns, and clues you can watch out for. These are less concrete, which makes them tougher to catch. Still, these extra details can be quite helpful during tougher investigations, so here are all other abilities attributed to the Deildegast.
- The Deildegast always has the upper hand at the start of an investigation , as nothing has happened to slow down its speed at this point.
- The Deildegast is generally a fairly fast ghost , moving at about three meters per second as its base speed, almost the same as the Revenant.
- The Deildegast gets fixated on items that are misplaced , which means you can move items to slow it down. This process must be done outside of hunts, and you’ll always want to move multiple items to activate this debuff. You also need to move items that are part of the house, not your own equipment.
- The description for the Deildegast says that both living and deceased players can slow down the ghost , which means all players can throw items to help make this ghost weaker.
- The speed of this ghost seems to decrease by about 3.3 percent with each item you move.
- The lowest speed you can get the Deildegast down to is about 0.4 meters per second . This requires you to move around 30 items.
- The Deildegast sometimes seems to slow itself down by throwing things, too.
- This ghost does not speed up with line of sight as most others do, which means it doesn’t get quicker once it has a player within its sight.
