In Helldivers 2, Warbond Medals are needed to unlock new items in Warbonds, aka battle passes. Regardless of whether you’re getting through the free Helldivers Mobilise! Warbond or got yourself one of the premium ones, every reward requires Medals to unlock.
There’s no way to buy Warbond Medals and speedrun your progression; everything is earned by playing the game. So, here’s what you need to know about how to get Warbond Medals in Helldivers 2.
How to farm Warbond Medals in Helldivers 2
Complete missions
Your main source of Warbond Medals in Helldivers 2 is completing missions and operations. Operations usually consist of two to three missions, and every consecutive mission you complete within the operation grants more Warbond Medals, so it’s in your interest to get it done.
The higher the difficulty, the better the rewards, so look for more difficult operations that consist of shorter missions, like Eradicate Automaton Forces. This is by far the best way to farm Warbond Medals in Helldivers 2.
Loot POIs
During the mission, look out for different POIs marked on your compass with a question mark. Locations like labs that require two players to open, industrial crates, and pods with yellow beacons. All of those can contain Warbond Medals, support weapons, Requisition Slips, and even Super Credits.
Everyone on the team gets the rewards from these locations, and you keep them even if you fail to extract, so there’s no reason for you not to go off exploring.
Complete Personal Orders
Every day, each Helldiver gets a Personal Order for additional Warbond Medals. The objectives are usually something like complete a certain number of missions on a specific front or kill a certain number of enemies with a specific weapon. Personal Orders are the same for all players, so you can grab your friends and tackle them together.
Complete Major Orders
The Galactic War progresses through Major Orders. Major Orders are community goals that change, depending on the current state of the galaxy. One day, you might have to fight off a new type of Automatons, and on the next day, the Illuminate might be attacking Super Earth once again.
Major Goals take multiple days to complete, and while you don’t have to constantly contribute, every mission counts. At the same time, even if you miss a couple of MOs, you’ll still get the Warbond Medal rewards when you come back, giving you a headstart in unlocking new rewards.
