How to get to Legend Island in Forza Horizon 6

Forza Horizon 6 locks Legend Island behind campaign progression, so you cannot properly access it when you first start exploring Japan. The island opens after you earn the Gold Wristband and reach Horizon Legend status.

But reaching this status isn’t as simple as just winning some races that unlock with each tier. You need to keep completing Horizon Festival events, PR Stunts, Skills, and Wristband Events until you finish the Gold Wristband requirement. Once you become a Horizon Legend, Legend Island becomes available as the final locked area on the map.

To get to Legend Island, you need to earn the Gold Wristband. That means progressing through the Horizon Festival campaign until you have enough Horizon Festival Points, then completing the Gold Wristband event.

The Gold Wristband requirement is 32,500 Horizon Festival Points. After you complete the required event and earn Horizon Legend status, the game grants access to Legend Island.

This is the final tier of the main wristband system. Forza Horizon 6 starts you as a tourist in Japan, then makes you qualify for the Horizon Festival, earn your first Wristband, and climb through faster and more demanding event tiers.

Fastest way to reach Legend Island in Forza Horizon 6

To be clear, there are no shortcuts on the way to Legend Island, you will need to get the Gold Wristband legitimately.

Up until this tier, you can mostly progress through the tiers by completing the designated Horizon Festival events, as winning those races gives the bulk of points required to advance to the next rank.

The Gold Wristband requirements, however, are quite steep, and simply winning the races won’t give you anywhere near enough points.

The main trick to reach Legend Island smoothly is not to ignore any other activity that gives you points.

Smash all those point boards that are littered across all of Japan. Not only do they give you experience, but they also award you with Horizon Festival points, ranging from 10 to 50.

Don’t ignore the PR Stunts either. If you see a Speedtrap on your way, try to get all three stars. Or jump as far as you can on that Danger Sign. If your car likes going sideways, do all the Drift challenges you come across. If you ignore these seemingly small sources of points, you will have to go on a cleanup duty after you run out of races, making the process seem tedious and grindy. But if you devote small portions of your time to those side activities while doing something else, this progress will be much smoother.

Where is Legend Island in Forza Horizon 6?

Legend Island is located in the Southeastern part of Japan, not far from Tokyo. It’s connected to the mainland via two bridges that are locked until you earn the right to drive there.

If you’re nearby, you can even zoom into it through Photo Mode and see the roads and track layout, as well as some Horizon Festival buildings.

What unlocks on Legend Island in Forza Horizon 6?

Legend Island gives you access to a second Horizon Festival outpost, new races, PR Stunts, XP boards, and some of the final base-game content. The biggest races of each racing category also unlock alongside the island, even though some of them don’t have their starting point on it. The longest and most prestigious race of the Festival, The Goliath, does start there, however.

Playground Games did a really good job with the progression system this time around, and unlocking Legend Island does really feel like an earned accomplishment.
