History

Phil 'The Power' Taylor won six of the first eight Premier League Darts tournaments from 2005-2012.

In 2013 was a changing of the guard. Taylor lost the final to Dutchman van Gerwen and after coming short in two successive finals, he has since gone on to win three on the bounce.

With this impressive track record, it's little surprise that van Gerwen is the bookie's favourite priced odds-on at around 8/15.
