How to get tickets for Manic Street Preacher's Radio 2 gig in Cardiff

Manic Street Preachers have announced that they are to play St David's Hall in Cardiff as part of Radio 2 Live's series of special gigs to celebrate the return of live music.

DJ Zoe Ball announced the show, one of a series of live performances by the station, live on air when she told listeners that the Blackwood boys would will be performing at St. David’s Hall, Thursday, August 12 in front of a small audience of fans.

The tickets will be allocated by a ballot system, and, like many of BBC Radio's special live events, a portion will go to locals.

So, how do you get tickets for the Manics?

How to get Radio 2 Live tickets

- Register at bbc.co.uk/radio2live which is now open and will stay open until 8am, tomorrow (Friday, July 30)

- Tickets for this show are being allocated by random draw, so when they receive your ticket request your details are added to the list of applicants

- Once the random draw has closed all eligible requests are entered into the draw. If successful, you will be notified by text message and send your e-ticket(s) to your email address. If unsuccessful you will be kept on the waiting list in case anyone cancels their tickets.
