The Detour badge in Roblox Doors is essential for players who wish to continue accessing the outdoors subfloor, as this area will soon be removed from the free map rotation.
Roblox’s Doors has recently added the Outdoors expansion, free to try for anyone who dares to venture outside and meet the spooky entities. It brings many new monsters to face, while meeting a few friendly faces along the way. If you want to get the subfloor unlock permanently after Aug. 25, 2025, we’ve got you covered.
How to get the Detour badge in Roblox Doors, explained
To get the Detour badge, you’ll have to queue up in the Roblox Doors Hotel map elevator and start opening the doors and escaping entities. While doing that, you’ll also have to check the cabinet drawers and empty bedrooms to find coins because you’ll need them for the badge.
Once you reach door 60, you’ll enter Jeff’s shop, and it will sell you five random items. Among other items, you need to buy the Skull key here using 300 coins. You might not find the Skull key inside the shop, and in that case, you’ll need to restart your hotel run and hope that you find the item in the shop in your run.
Once you purchase the Skull Key, make your way to Door 90, which leads you to the Courtyard. Once you’re out, find the thin toolshed, which should have the shears for you. You can use these shears to make your way to the vines nearby and cut them.
Once you cut them, you can enter and use the Skull Key to the door with the Skull icon, and you’ll wrap up your Hotel run to unlock the Outdoors forever. Now, you can either continue your run on the Outdoors map or have a run at the hotel again. You’ll also unlock the Detour badge, which gives you permanent access to the Outdoors.
The Detour badge previously gave you access to another subfloor; now, it gives you exclusive access to the Outdoor.
