How to get the best use out of leftover pancake batter with three creative recipes

All across the nation households engaged in the tradition of making pancakes to use up all of the sweat treats in the house before Lent, however, many people are left with batter after making a pile of pancakes.

While you shouldn’t throw it down the sink for obvious reasons, many might be full of pancakes but still want to do something with the leftover mix. As always, TikTok has some handy ways of showing how to use up your batter if you are sick of pancakes.

Coupon Snake, a coupon and deals site, delved into the most viral ways to reduce waste by using leftover pancake ingredients. Trawling through the popular video app, the coupon site put together a list of the most popular videos that discussed how to use up the batter in alternative ways.

  1. Pancake Cereal had 1.6 billion views on TikTok
  2. Pancake Quesadillas had 701.3 million views on TikTok
  3. Pancake Spaghetti had 63.4 million views on TikTok

Next up is the Mexican favourite quesadillas. To make this semi-healthy snack place four of the cooled pancakes in a greased baking dish, and top with shredded cheese or any other favourite ingredient. Then place the remaining pancakes on top and bake for five minutes until the cheese is melted.

Last but not least (and possibly one of the most creative ways) is pancake spaghetti. Using a piping bag, squeeze out some spaghetti-like batter strips by poking a small hole in the top of the bag, dropping this in a zig-zag pattern onto a heated pan. Serve after cooking for 20 to 30 seconds on each side with some toppings of your choice.
