Strong Acid is one of the more advanced crafting materials in Subnautica 2, mainly used for creating high-tier equipment, upgraded tools, and late-game technology components.
While you won’t need it immediately at the start of the game, unlocking a reliable supply becomes extremely important once you begin progressing into deeper biomes and start making advanced equipment and water vehicles. Here’s everything you need to know about Strong Acid in Subnautica 2.
How to get Strong Acid in Subnautica 2, explained

To craft Strong Acid, you need to harvest Necrolei Cysts, which can be found by hitting neon-pink tendril plants with your Survival Multitool. These plants are near the corrupted Angel Comb in the northwest direction of your Lifepod. They’re like small cacti floating, and you can harvest the top part of them, which are the Necrolei Cysts.
You can get around 8-10 from a bunch of plants, and you can roam around the area to get even more and fill your inventory with these items. Once you’re full, return to your base and load them into your processor; you should then be able to obtain Strong Acid from it. You need two Necrolei Cysts to make one Strong Acid, and it should be relatively easy to farm once you know the spot to collect these flowers.
How to use Strong Acid in Subnautica 2

You can use Strong Acid for crafting items such as Fiber Mesh, which is an essential material used in several pieces of equipment, including the Rebreather. It’s also required for crafting the Dedicated Core and the Scout Ray Chassis, a faster version of the Tadpole, alongside multiple vehicle upgrade modules that become important later in the game.
