Working out how to earn Resplendent Sparks in Diablo 4 can be a bit confusing, especially as Blizzard has changed the game quite a bit since this rare resource originally appeared. If you didn't know, you can use Resplendent Sparks to craft Mythic Uniques—what Uber Uniques are called nowadays—but you can only get a limited number via certain endgame activities.
It used to require four Replendent Sparks to craft one of these powerful items, but since then the crafting cost has decreased, as well as the number of ways you can actually get the resource. They no longer drop from defeating Tormented bosses, for example.
One of the best ways to get them is to simply dismantle Mythic Uniques that you've been lucky enough to receive through drops, though these uniques are so powerful that this is inadvisable unless you happen to have spares knocking around. As mentioned, it's a lot cheaper to craft a Mythic Unique now in terms of sparks—it only costs two instead of four—so you only need to dismantle two to get one in return.
With all that said, here are all of the ways you can get Resplendent Sparks in Season 8: Belial's Return, plus how Mythic Unique crafting works.
How to get Resplendent Sparks

There are currently four different ways to get Resplendent Sparks in Diablo 4:
- Get one Resplendent Spark when you reach tier 18 on the Unveiler's Oath reputation board in Season 8 and claim the Resplendent Cache
- Earn one Spark from the end of the Season Journey, requiring you to unlock and complete all the challenges in the Destroyer tier
- Defeat the Echo of Lilith boss for the first time on Torment difficulty to get one Spark
- Salvage any Mythic Unique at the blacksmith to get one Spark
It's sadly a lot harder to get Resplendent Sparks now, especially when you used to be able to repeat the Iron Wolves reputation track to get them with multiple characters in a previous season. However, Mythic Uniques require fewer sparks to craft, so it balances out.
As a reminder, the current Mythic Uniques are:
- Doombringer
- The Grandfather
- Andariel's Visage
- Melted Heart of Selig
- Ring of Starless Skies
- Harlequin Crest
- Ahavarion, Spear of Lycander
- Tyrael's Might
- Heir of Perdition
- Shroud of False Death
- Shattered Vow
- Nesekem, The Herald
Of course, since these are so rare, you should only dismantle any spare copies of each that you have, while keeping at least one for yourself for when the season ends and your gear transfers to the Eternal Realm. You get one Resplendent Spark for every Mythic Unique you salvage—the spark itself will show up in the salvaged resources listed for dismantling it.
The good news is that you only need two Resplendent Sparks to craft a Mythic Unique now, though you'll also require 50 million gold, and some runes if you want a specific one. You can either visit the jeweler to get a specific Mythic Unique, or the blacksmith if you want to purchase a cache containing a random one.
