Football Manager 26 and its predecessors are famous for the expansive database of real-world players, staff, and other figures that power its engine. While this makes for an engrossing world and is a truly staggering accomplishment, that does not mean that not every club or player is able to be covered by the licenses the game carries. The result of this is some players featuring generic blank heads, and so face packs are a popular tool for players looking to mod the game.
What Is A Face Pack?

A face pack is a download that features thousands of images of players’ faces saved under their corresponding identification numbers in the game’s database. When playing, the game pulls from these images instead of the pre-installed defaults. With a face pack, the game pulls face images from a separate folder you create, allowing you to customize the look of your game to include real-world graphics and faces with just a few minutes of downloading work.
How To Install A Face Pack For Football Manager 26

1) Download a Face Pack: The first decision you have to make is which face pack you want to download and add to your game. Different modders have their own packs, and you can choose the option you prefer. For this demonstration, I have opted to get the women’s faces from DF11 to make my Gotham FC save look better.
2) Create a Graphics Folder: If you have not already done so for a prior mod, you need to add a folder named “graphics” to the “Football Manager 26” folder inside of your “Sports Interactive” folder, installed by default to your “Documents” folder.

3) Copy Your Graphics Folder: Move or copy the graphics from your face pack into this folder. This will allow FM 26 to access the files in it and use them within the game engine to display your new player faces.
4) Start, Then Fully Close The Game: To initially enter the new face pack, simply load up your game and start your career mode save. This may be all you need to do, as I was not required to follow the final step to see my faces show up. If they do not, fully exit the game and close Steam.
5) Restart The Game A Second Time: Boot the game back up after having had the first initial boot with the face pack in place. If your faces did not show up in the initial loading, this second pass should be all you need to now have your custom pack in the game
With that, you’re ready to start enjoying Football Manager 26, looking as good as possible. This same method can also be used with other graphics updates, such as league, club, or competition logo updates!
