How to get Rabbit Pelt in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced

Pistol Holster is one of the most fun upgrades in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, as it allows you to carry more pistols and thus spam them a lot more. While there are multiple resources you need to max it out, one of them is Rabbit Pelt.

Here’s where to find rabbits in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and how to get Rabbit Pelts.

To get Rabbit Pelts, you need to hunt down rabbits. Rabbits more commonly appear at these three locations: Nassau, Kingston, and Corozal. Nassau is one of the first locations in Black Flag Resynced; Kingston is on the south side of the map, and Corozal is on the western edge.

While you may come across rabbits on other smaller islands, Nassau is the earliest and the easiest place to get Rabbit Pelts. Kingston unlocks a little later in the story, while Corozal is protected by the Spanish Man O’ War that will attack you if you try to get too close to the docks.

You can also trade four Bones for Rabbit Pelt at the General Store. However, to do that, you must build and upgrade the General Store at Great Inagua to General Store II. This adds new wares to all stores across the Caribbean.

How to get Rabbit Pelt in AC Black Flag Resynced

When you’re in the area marked with the rabbit icon, use the Eagle Vision to highlight animals in red. Much like with iguanas, you must sneak when approaching rabbits; otherwise, they might run away. While you can use a sword to kill a rabbit, a pistol is quicker and more reliable, as it only requires one shot.

After killing the rabbit, come up and skin it to get the Rabbit Pelt. A rabbit drops one Rabbit Pelt and sometimes a few Bones. In one area, there are usually two rabbits, so you can get two Rabbit Pelts per island/area.

Rabbit Pelt is used for the second Pistol Holster upgrade, allowing you to carry a third pistol. You need two Rabbit Pelts, and if you haven’t unlocked the first upgrade yet, hunt down some ocelots to get Ocelot Pelts.

To unlock the upgrade, open the inventory and head to the Crafting menu. The Pistol Holster is one of the first ones available, but you might also want to get the Pistol Ammo Pouch upgrade to carry more pistol ammo.
