Point Blank kills in Black Ops 7, explained

To get a Point Blank kill in BO7, you must kill an enemy from an extremely close range – usually within around a meter. Most of the time, you have to be right in the enemy’s face to get a Point Blank medal, but you can also damage them from afar and then finish them off up close.
Tips and tricks to get Point Blank kills in Black Ops 7
While you can rush every enemy you see, there are a couple of ways to make the camo grind easier. From using the right perks, throwables, to the modes you play, tailor the playstyle to enable as many Point Blank kills as possible.
Perks

Perks are a core part of any loadout and greatly alter your capabilities in a gunfight. Any perk that helps close the distance between you and the enemy is helpful to get Point Blank kills, whether it’s by removing you from the minimap or increasing movement speed.
Here are some of the perks you can use to help you get Point Blank kills:
- Lightweight (Perk 1): Increased movement speed. Jump, slide, and dive further. Faster recovery from sliding and diving.
- Ghost (Perk 1): Undetectable by enemy Scout Pulse and UAV when moving, planting, defusing, or controlling Scorestreaks. Undetectable by Prox Alarm.
- Ninja (Perk 1): Move more quietly.
- Vigilance (Perk 2): Increased minimap area. Display a HUD icon when you appear on hostile minimaps. Immune to CUAV and Scrambler.
- Dexterity (Perk 3): Reduced weapon motion during jumps, wall jumps, slides, and dives. Take less fall damage.
- Tracker (Perk 3): See enemy footsteps in the world. ADSing auto-pings enemies. Killing an enemy shows the direction of the next closest enemy on your minimap.
Using a combination of Enforcer (red) and Recon (blue) perks also grants you the Scout Combat Specialty. Scout hides you from the enemy minimap for five seconds after securing a bullet kill, allowing you to locate the next target and chain kills a bit easier. You can also go for all three Recon perks to show the closest enemy on the minimap when you respawn.
Perk Greed Wildcard on level 33 allows you to equip an extra perk to your loadout.
Field upgrades

Much like perks, field upgrades can also help you close in on enemy players. Mute Field gives you Ninja, Ghost, and Cold Blooded perks for a duration, which also means you can opt for different perks in your main loadout. At the same time, Active Camo makes you nearly completely invisible for a short duration, which you can increase using level two Overclock. Using a tactical while invisible doesn’t reveal you, so you can set yourself up for easy kills.
Tacticals

A minor yet useful addition to the loadout is flashbangs or stun grenades. Flashbangs blind and deafen the target, while stuns slow movement and aiming speed. Use them to set yourself up for a gunfight. These grenades also work well with the Tac Expert Wildcard, which grants two tacticals.
Modes

The best modes to get Point Blank kills are those with objectives at specific locations, like Hardpoint and Domination. This makes it easier to find enemies, as there’ll always be someone near the zone. You can still play other modes, like Team Deathmatch or Kill Confirmed, and catch enemies off-guard with the right loadout.
