There are several weapons in Destiny 2 that used to have exclusive perks found on no other guns. One of these weapons is Oxygen SR3, which returned to the game with all the benefits of the tier system.
Oxygen SR3 is a Precision Frame Solar scout rifle. The original version had an exclusive perk called Meganeura. While the perk became quite common with Monument of Triumph, the reprised Oxygen SR3 still has it, alongside a few new Solar additions.
Here are our Oxygen SR3 PvE and PvP god rolls in Destiny 2.
What is the Oxygen SR3 god roll in Destiny 2?
Oxygen SR3 PvE god roll
- Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
- Magazine: Tactical Mag
- Perk one: Heal Clip
- Perk two: Meganeura or Burning Ambition
- Masterwork: Reload Speed
Oxygen SR3 PvP god roll
- Barrel: Hammer-Forged Rifling
- Magazine: Accurized Rounds
- Perk one: To the Pain
- Perk two: Box Breathing
- Masterwork: Range
For PvE, Oxygen SR3 has Heal Clip in the third column. It’s one of the best Solar perks, which cures you when reloading after a kill. Ideally, you also want a Tactical Mag and a Reload Speed masterwork to reload faster.
While it doesn’t have Incandescent, you can choose from Meganeura and Burning Ambition in the fourth column. Meganeura is this weapon’s signature perk, which creates elemental explosions on precision kills. It’s similar to Dragonfly, but the explosion damage scales with the number of precision hits landed before the kill, up to around 210 damage. This makes the weapon a strong pick for harder content, like Grandmaster Vanguard Alerts.
Burning Ambition applies scorch to unscorched targets, and on scout rifles, nine shots trigger an ignition. On its own, Burning Ambition can be underwhelming, but it can be a good choice when paired with a Solar build that applies a lot of scorch.
While Precision Frame scouts can occasionally perform in PvP, Oxygen SR3 doesn’t have any notable perks. The best combination it has is To the Pain to increase aim assist after taking damage, paired with Box Breathing for extra aim assist falloff distance after ADS without firing. However, that won’t be enough to compete in the current sandbox.
How to get Oxygen SR3 in Destiny 2
While Oxygen SR3 doesn’t drop from any activities in Destiny 2, you can pick up a Tier 4 version at Zavala in the Tower for three Vanguard Engrams, three Vanguard Ciphers, and 15,000 Glimmer. There are also a bunch of other reprised Vanguard weapons, like Mindbender’s Ambition and Warden’s Law.
You can then upgrade the Tier 4 to Tier 5 with 20,000 Glimmer, three Ascendant Alloys, and one Ascendant Shard. If you want a Tier 5 version straight away, you can also spend Legendary Marks at the Tenet of Bravery in the Tower on Pinnacle Ops Weapon Engrams.
