Marshmallows are one of the most peculiar ingredients in Disney Dreamlight Valley due to their specific spawn requirements. While they originally appeared as a collection log entry before the 2024 End of Summer event, they've since returned in a second iteration.

Where to find marshmallows in Disney Dreamlight Valley
You'll find pink and blue marshmallows during Disney Dreamlight Valley's Summer Sizzle event from July 2 to 22. During these few weeks, you'll spot pink marshmallow bushes in the Plaza and blue marshmallows scattered around the following biomes:
- Plaza
- Peaceful Meadow
- Dazzle Beach
- Forest of Valor
- Glade of Trust
Pink marshmallows are easier to find than their blue counterparts, as they appear as small pale pink items on berry bushes. The bushes are similar to raspberry ones, with the tiny marshmallows differentiating it from regular berry plants.

Blue marshmallows are slightly harder to spot initially, as they appear on the floor around various biomes. While they spawn regularly around the map, much like easter eggs during the Eggstravaganza event, they're a little hard to see, so keep your eyes peeled for them.

How to use marshmallows in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The main use of pink and blue marshmallows is to cook roasted marshmallows and s'mores during Disney Dreamlight Valley's Summer Sizzle event. You'll need these dishes for two objectives, Share Some Sweetness and Savor Some Sweetness, to earn additional rewards.
The Summer Sizzle event features several camping-related furniture crafting, questing, and cooking. These two recipes are only available once you've obtained your first few marshmallows. They require pink and blue marshmallows, among other ingredients.

Alternatively, you can sell both marshmallow types if you collect a bunch and don't want to cook them all. However, you'll make more money cooking them than selling them as raw items, so it's worth spending time and resources converting them to roasted marshmallows and s'mores. You can also keep a few extras on hand in case they appear as daily favorite gifts for random villagers.
A third option is to keep them for future events. Disney Dreamlight Valley's Summer Sizzle event is recurring, with its first version, End of Summer, originally taking place in September 2024. Both versions are identical, so a third round may appear next year. If you want to reduce your farming time next year, you can stockpile some extra marshmallows, roasted marshmallows, and s'mores in a chest so you can hand them in right from the get-go, giving you a few chill weeks to focus on other quests.
