It was the most full Anfield had been since the now infamous Champions League match against Atletico Madrid in March 2020.
Football stadium doors - for the most part, at least - have been closed to spectators as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic over the past sixteen months.
For LFC, it's been a tumultuous, as well as historic, period of time. July 2020 saw the Reds lift their first Championship title in three decades, while the 20/21 campaign was a rollercoaster ride of several ups and downs. One thing for certain is that demand for the return of Premier League football at Anfield will be sky-high.
How to get hospitality tickets
Getting tickets to a game at Anfield is a notoriously difficult task. While the information on how to secure general sale tickets can be found here, a new avenue has now emerged for Reds fans.
Hospitality tickets are now available to buy through the online travel site Travelzoo.
Tickets can be purchased now for the Burnley and Chelsea matches, with others expected to be made available in due course.
