How to get from Glasgow to Seville as Rangers just one step away from Europa League final

Rangers head to Germany on Thursday to face RB Leipzig in the first leg of the Europa League semi final.

Gio van Bronckhorst' s men will be hoping to keep the score tight as they welcome the Bundesliga side to Ibrox one week later in the hopes of secure a place in the competition's grand finale.

If successful, Rangers will face the winners of West Ham vs Eintracht Frankfurt.

The final two sides will meet in Seville, with the big game under one month away.

And Rangers fans might already be having a nosey at how they can make their way to Spain if the Light Blues are victorious in the semis.

Supporters may not want to tempt fate but, equally, will be hoping to avoid a last minute rush for flights and accommodation.

To help out, we have a little look at how to get from Glasgow to Seville as well as the hotel options available.

Here is all you need to know...

When and where is the Europa League final?

The final takes place on Wednesday May 18 at Sevilla's Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán.

Kick off is at 8pm.

What is the cheapest and fastest way to fly to Seville from Glasgow?

Unfortunately, there are no direct flights from Glasgow - or any other Scottish airport - to Seville.

It means that if you are hoping to fly out for the final, you will need to make at least one stop on your way.

The easiest option may be a flight via London, but that may not be the cheapest way to do it.

If you wanted to add a few days to your trip either side of the clash, you may be looking to leave on Monday 16 and return on Friday 10 May.

The cheapest flights on these dates would set you back around £210.

This option has one change in Paris on the way out and two stops - one in Ibiza and a second in London - on the way back.

The fastest route on those dates would cost you £276 at the moment with the flight going via Paris on the way and stopping at Orly on the way back taking around seven hours each way.

You can secure your travel to and from Seville for just £174 if you opt to fly the day before the clash and return the day after.

Flying from Glasgow on Tuesday 17 May and returning on Thursday 19, the cheapest option includes two stops on the way there and one on the way back.

The first leg of the journey takes you from Glasgow to Brussels with the second leg flying from Brussels to Barcelona with a final flight from Barcelona to Seville.

The journey would take you just under 14 hours in total.

Heading home, you would stop in Dublin before flying back to Glasgow.

What are the best hotel options in Seville for the Europa League Final?

You can get a room for two in Old Town Seville for just £142 from Tuesday 16 to Thursday 18.

The 3* Feria Palace Apartment is located under a mile from the city centre.

There are lots of other options available - but some are pretty pricey.

A two night stay for two people at the 3* Hotel Don Paco would set you back £606 if booked just now with two nights in the 4* Hotel Palacio Alcaza costing £779.
