How to get free 200 pulls in Destiny Rising

Destiny: Rising is a new addition to the Destiny franchise, where you can explore a familiar world in a different timeline. In this timeline, Destiny is a gacha game, and with it come limited-time characters, banners, and pulls, some of which you can get for free.

At the launch of Destiny: Rising, you can get over 200 free pulls to get new characters, so here’s everything you need to know to get them.

As with many gacha games, you can’t get all the free pulls immediately. Instead, you must unlock them by playing the game, including completing quests, participating in events, exploring destinations, earning Triumphs, and more.

Here’s a breakdown of all “Bon Voyage” Charms and Lumina Leaves sources in Destiny: Rising:

  • Pre-registration rewards from the mail
  • Handbook quests
  • Character quests
  • 14-Day Sign-In event
  • Primary (main) quests
  • New Light Challenges event
  • Reputation quests and reputation rank rewards in Jiangshi Metro and Red Sea Rift destinations
  • Spreading Light event
  • Duelist Level
  • Singularity: Order
  • Triumphs
  • Shadowshaper Duels
  • Side quests
  • Calamity Ops rank

In short, the easiest way to get free pulls is simply to play the game and participate in events. You can keep track of all sources and rewards in the Events tab of the event menu. The Rewards Guide breaks down every source and even shows how many rewards you’ve already earned from that specific source, so target what you want to do and start farming.

Throughout your journey in Destiny: Rising, you’ll earn the “Bon Voyage” Charms and Lumina Leaves. “Bon Voyage” Charms are permanent (standard) banner pulls, while Lumina Leaves are a currency that you can convert into “Bon Voyage” Charms or “Bon Voyage” Charms L.E. (event banner pulls).

The best way to spend these free pulls is to save Lumina Leaves for limited-time banners to get limited-time characters. Event banners come and go every few weeks, so you need to save up quite a few Lumina Leaves if you want to get the featured characters.

The standard banner is quite generous on its own already, guaranteeing your first 5-star character within the first 30 pulls (at a discounted rate if you do 10 pulls). And after you make 180 pulls using “Bon Voyage” Charms, you’ll be able to select a standard 5-star character of your choice: Tan-2, Jolder, or Ning Fei.
