EVE will be available as a Contender in PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS as part of a Stellar Blade collab from April 8 on PC, and April 16 for console. EVE – available via the Workshop – will be the first ever Ultimate Contender, offering hairstyle and outfit combos as part of the unique progression system.
Ultimate Contender: EVE

Ultimate Contender EVE will arrive in Patch 41.1 and is the third Contender to be added to PUBG: Battlegrounds.
As EVE levels up, her appearance and hair colors expand in stages, allowing you to freely combine unlocked hairstyles and outfits to create your own unique style.
The previous two Contenders Dorian and Hanna, were poorly received, triggering developer PUBG Studios to promise they would be “doubling down on the unique Contender experience” via a new mix-and-match system to add more customization to the ultra premium cosmetic skins.
EVE’s arrival will decide if PUBG Studios kept their promise.
Given Stellar Blade already features a mix-and-match customization system, the collaboration is a natural fit.
Contender EVE progression rewards

As an Ultimate Contender, EVE features a multi-stage progression system that unlocks new cosmetics and effects as you level her up.
Here’s what you unlock at each level:
- Level 1: Base form, Contender lobby pose, and emote
- Level 2: Kill effect
- Level 3: Dive trail effect
- Level 4: Advanced form + 1 additional hair color
- Level 5: Kill badge
- Level 6: Final form + 2 additional hair colors
These upgrades enhance both EVE’s appearance and in-game effects, with some features only active when the Contender is equipped.
Which EVE skins will be in PUBG: Battlegrounds?

The Stellar Blade x PUBG: Battlegrounds trailer showcases two of EVE’s iconic outfits from the PS5 and PC title plus a new spin on an old classic.
- Base Form: Planet Diving Suit (7th) – EVE’s default outfit
- Advanced Form: Comfort Force – A more everyday outfit for EVE
- Final Form: War Dress – A fan favourite EVE outfit
The three outfit choices for EVE as part of the collab offer three distinctive styles; classic, bold and everyday wear.
Planet Diving Suit (7th) is EVE’s default outfit, featured across the game’s promotional material. Meanwhile, the provocative and revealing War Dress is not only a personal favorite of Stellar Blade’s Director Kim Hyung-Tae, but also of fans of the PS5 and PC ARPG. To balance the offerings, the third collab outfit Comfort Force is a far more everyday outfit for EVE.

How to get EVE in PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS?
Unlocking EVE is slightly different to previous Contenders Hanna and Dorian. Players need to collect Stellar Blade Tokens through the Crafter Pass, Loot Caches, and events, then use them to craft EVE’s Record File in the Workshop (3,000 Stellar Blade Tokens).
Credits are obtained by dismantling items from Loot Caches and Workshop rewards, which can be earned through events or purchased using G-Coin or BP. However, free Loot Cache rewards are limited and you will most likely need to spend G-Coins to purchase additional chests.
-
Step 1: Earn Stellar Blade Tokens through:
- Crafter Pass progression
- Missions and events
- Loot Caches (via BP or G-Coin)

- Step 2: Use Tokens to craft EVE’s Record File in:
- Workshop → Special Crafting
- Step 3: Collect additional Credits by dismantling items
- Step 4: Use:

1 Record File + Credits
→ to unlock Contender EVE
Unlike previous Contenders, EVE’s Record File is primarily obtained through Token crafting rather than pure RNG drops.
Is there a cheaper way to unlock EVE?
Based on calculations shared by Reddit user FromtheShadows136, players can reduce costs by combining multiple Stellar Blade Token sources rather than relying purely on Loot Caches.
Crafter Pass (~$10): ~1,500 Tokens from progression and missions
BP Loot Caches (≈500,000 BP): ~700–900 Tokens
Rush Pack (3,300 G-Coin): ~300 Tokens + bonus levels
Final top-up: Remaining Tokens via Loot Cache bundles (G-Coin)
Important: This estimate only applies to unlocking EVE at Level 1.
This can bring the total cost closer to $60–$100, depending on RNG and progression. To level up EVE further will require additional investment.
Can you earn Contenders for free?
Yes, it is possible to earn Contenders for free. However, it could take you months or even years given how limited free Tokens and Loot Caches are through events and pass progression.
Loot Caches do not require keys to open, unlike Archivist’s Chests used in previous Contender systems.
While Credits are still required, the main bottleneck is collecting enough Stellar Blade Tokens to craft the Record File, making Tokens – not Credits – the primary progression barrier.

How much does Contender EVE cost?
Unlocking EVE is tied to the Stellar Blade Token system, meaning costs are spread across the Crafter Pass, Loot Caches, and G-Coin purchases rather than relying purely on RNG drops.
Based on the Stellar Blade Token system, most players will need to earn and purchase a large number of Loot Caches and Pass rewards to accumulate enough Tokens to craft EVE’s Record File.
The total price can quickly add up depending on how many Tokens you still need.
- $60–$100 if you’re lucky
- $80–$150 for most players
- $150–$300+ if RNG isn’t on your side
Because there’s no pity system, costs can vary heavily, meaning some players may spend significantly more before unlocking EVE.
Yes, unlocking a Contender can cost more than a full-priced AAA game. By comparison, Stellar Blade itself costs $59.99 and includes dozens of outfits.
