With Christmas just around the corner (yes, really!) many are starting to think about their festive food delivery.
Eager shoppers are not able to book slots at many supermarket favourites, with Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Waitrose, Aldi and Morrisons amongst the stores launching their Christmas food delivery slots and click and collect booking systems as we plough through November.
Tesco have also opened up their system to their 'Anytime Delivery' customers. However, the supermarket giant faced huge backlash on Tuesday - November 15 - when its website crashed amid the festive slot booking rush.

By 6am this morning, many customers reported being placed in a virtual queue on the Tesco online site, with more than 200,000 waiting for access. Some shoppers even received error messages due to the high demand on the website.
The online store has since rebooted, running like normal as things stand. However, the slots open up to a wider group - all customers - next week, with even more demand expected.
Many households across Edinburgh will be looking to plan ahead, with tight budgets being set amid the cost if living. Increasing food costs and the concern over shortages during the festive period has made shoppers especially anxious as Christmas approaches
And it means that spreading the cost and securing those early delivery or collection slots is hugely important.
Edinburgh Live have laid out where and when you can book slots for popular supermarkets and when your delivery or collection can be scheduled.
