How to get and use the Phase Bridge in R.E.P.O.

The latest R.E.P.O. patch has seen many new facets to the game, including a tumble wings upgrade that lets you temporarily glide. The Phase Bridge is another new tool now at your disposal that’ll help you traverse the maps more thoroughly from now on.

If you play the R.E.P.O. open beta, you’ll already be able to use these new features. So here’s everything you need to know about getting and using the Phase Bridge in R.E.P.O.

You can purchase a Phase Bridge for $19,000 to 20,000 at the Service Station. You can only place it down by extending it, and the longer the extension, the faster its charge bar gets depleted. Not interacting with the Phase Bridge for an extended period of time will also make it detract.

You’ll be aiming to use the bridge over gaps to get to difficult ledges or hidey spots where valuables are in sight. Some places worth looking at are even out of sight, but with the Phase Bridge on hand, you’ll be able to cover much more of the map for harder-to-find valuables you previously have never been able to obtain. All in all, you’ll want to use the bridge for gaps or ledges—any section of the map that you cannot simply reach because of height or other access restrictions.

These can be both horizontal and vertical situations, making the Phase Bridge an ideal substitute for other purchasable items for runs, such as the Double Jump, which is a step down from this new addition. The Phase Bridge also adds some much-needed variety to the purchasable items kit, allowing you to get to hard-to-reach places rather than depending on other items that aren’t as ideal, such as any Drone type. These you can now confidently hold onto for specific tasks, such as retrieving harder-to-manage valuables.

The Phase Bridge can also be a lifesaver since changing your position when there’s a monster in sight is now so easy to pull off. You only need to use the Phase Bridge to go up a ledge or balcony, swiftly leaving the monster’s line of sight. You can also use the Phase Bridge to your advantage when taking down a monster. For example, the Robe cannot float across drops. If you are standing on the Phase Bridge above a drop point, you can easily line up a shot with your gun and be safe from the Robe, even if you’ve antagonised it.

Play around with the Phase Bridge to capitalize on its many strengths.
