Crimson Desert does not feature a standard leveling system, complete with XP and skills you unlock through levels. Instead, it uses Abyss Artifacts, expendable currency items that are used to upgrade skill trees (Stamina, Spirit, and Health) or unlock and upgrade specific abilities within them.
They are obtained in various ways, but Sealed Abyss Artifacts can be a tremendous source of much-needed Abyss Artifacts, since they are also required to refine weapons and armor past a certain point, leading to a relative drought of Abyss Artifacts at some points in the game.
So, here's where you can find them and how you can put them to good use.
Sealed Abyss Artifacts - How to find and use them

Sealed Abyss Artifacts are generally an exploration item, found in dozens if not hundreds of locations across the continent of Pywel. Listing out every single one of them and their location would be almost impossible, since the game's world is so large that just finding them all is going to prove a challenge even for the most dedicated players.
They are most commonly located on the sides of roads and beaten paths, as well as within shrines scattered throughout the continent. You can spot them from some distance as they appear on your minimap as purple squares, but also shine with a bright light if you point your lantern toward the world from some elevated position.

Once you pick them up, you can stow them in your inventory, which is when you will get access to the specific challenge related to that Sealed Abyss Artifact. For example, you can pick up one of these in a Shrine right next to the City of Hernand, across the river to the east of Muckroot Ranch. That Sealed Abyss Artifact requires you to hit enemies with a spear 30 times, and there's even a spear to be discovered at that same shrine.
These Artifacts can be found in your inventory and, when hovered over, will give you the exact thing you need to do to gain access to their contents.
Once the related challenge is completed, the Sealed Abyss Artifact starts pulsating in your inventory, and when you press Use on it, you will gain a regular Abyss Artifact, used to unlock and upgrade skills and skill trees. Some of the Sealed Abyss Artifacts are obscure and unclear, and we have yet to discover their true purpose.
