Earning CP, or Critical Points, in Digimon Story Time Stranger, is crucial to defeating tough opponents, and earning them can be easy (or difficult) based on what you're doing.
If you have played older Digimon games, you'll have a fair idea of what to use CP for. If you're new, this guide will help you master how Critical Points work and how you can earn them.

How to get Critical Points in Digimon Story Time Stranger
There's more than one way to get CP, although the options will be slightly limited in the beginning.
- The easiest way to get CP is from battles when you perform any attacks. This includes regular attacks, and when you use SP. The rate of CP you earn from an attack will vary based on the Digimon and how strong (or weak) they are compared to the enemy they face. When you gain CP, it will fill up a meter. Once the meter is complete, you can use it to enhance your Digimons.
- Just like your Digimons, you can also unlock Agent Skills. Once unlocked, you can then spend Anomaly Points. One such skill is the Strategic CP Application Agent. With this skill, you will start battles with the CP Gauge charged by 10 for every Agent Rank. This is one of the best skills to unlock, but it will take you a fair amount of time and Anomaly Points.

The screenshot above has something called X-Arts, which allows you to perform Cross Arts. You must charge the meter with Critical Points fully to perform them. You can then activate the points to boost your Digimon and their abilities. Note that the effects of the boost will be temporary, and you'll have to fill out the meter once again to perform the Cross Arts.
