In the Ash & Iron update, Destiny 2 introduced another currency to the game, Chronologs. Luckily, they have nothing to do with Power progression or grind in the game. Instead, they allow you to get rewards from older seasons.
Here’s everything you need to know about Chronologs in Destiny 2 and how to use them.
How to get Chronologs in Destiny 2

At the moment, the only way to get Chronologs in Destiny 2 is from the current rewards pass. With the Ash & Iron update, you can earn up to 3,000 Chronologs if you purchase the premium pass. The free pass only gives you up to 1,500 Chronologs.
How to get past season rewards in Destiny 2

You can use Chornologs to get rewards from old season passes at the Monument to Seasons Past in the Tower. It features seasons all the way from Season of the Undying back during Shadowkeep. Every archived season pass features armor (both base armor and ornaments), Exotic weapons, emotes, shaders, and more. Most of the rewards cost 150-250 Chronologs, so you can get around 15 rewards with the Ash & Iron rewards pass.
This isn’t the same as using the Season Pass Wayback Machine, though. The Wayback Machine allows you to claim rewards you unlocked but forgot to grab, while the Monument to Seasons Past in the Tower lets you unlock things you didn’t reach during the season.
If you don’t want to get any of the old rewards (or already have them all), you can exchange Chronologs for materials like Ascendant Shards, Deepsight Harmonizers, and more.
