How to get and farm Fragments of Afterimage in DragonSword: Awakening
You can get and farm Fragments of Afterimage in DragonSword: Awakening by visiting Shanoa the Alchemist at Orbis Royal Castle and then transmuting one Whirling Thoughts, 100 Fragments of Memory, and 100K gold. She can be found by the cathedral, with her shop being highlighted from the get-go.
That also means that you will need a total of 128 Fragments of Afterimage and over 10K Fragments of Memory to acquire and max out all Exclusive Karma cards, with each demanding 7/700 (or 6/600 in the case of those available via Hero Quests). Don’t forget to check out the game’s best characters to know who to prioritize early on.
How to get Whirling Thoughts and farm Fragments of Memory
Unfortunately for all just starting their adventure, you can only get Whirling Thoughts by unlocking and then stacking up stars in Tower of Trials, DragonSword: Awakening‘s timed-combat mode. The mode can be unlocked by talking to Cerese and completing the Bond Quest during the game’s third main chapter.
The tower allows you to farm over 160 Whirling Thoughts by climbing all of the floors within its three variants (Tower of Gale, Tower of Amplitude, and Tower of Crushing). Just be warned: you will need to complete each within 90 seconds to receive the full amount.
The climb is also the best way to get Fragments of Memory in the late game, with each variant rewarding you with over 2.6K. They can also be acquired by opening treasure chests of all rarities, reaching new Mercenary Corps levels, completing quests, and clearing stages/challenges for the first time.
