With the Anime Vanguards Update 8, two units based on the anime and manga series Berserk got added to the game - The Struggler (Guts) and Falcon (Griffith). While Guts is obtainable through the main banner, getting Griffith in Anime Vanguards is a bit tricky. We’ve put together this short guide, which will help you get and evolve the Falcon.
How to Get Griffith in Anime Vanguards
In Anime Vanguards, Griffith is called Falcon, and the unit does not appear in any banner. Instead, you have to survive the Eclipse in any map (Story Mode) to get him.
Eclipse is a new event that has 1% chance of spawning in any map you play. When the Eclipse starts, beams of light will fall from the sky, and the whole map will be covered in a red hue. Enemy units will no longer follow the path and will start spawning on the map randomly to attack you from every direction.
To get Falcon, you have to kill all the enemies and ensure that at least one of your Units survives until the Eclipse ends. If you successfully survive, you are guaranteed to get Griffith and a King’s Egg.
How to Evolve Griffith in Anime Vanguards
Once you have obtained Griffith and the King’s Egg as a reward for surviving the Eclipse, you now have to complete one more step to get his evo item. It’s called the Awakened King’s Egg, and here’s how to get it:
- Go to your Units.
- Put Griffith (Falcon) on your team.
- Equip the I, Sacrifice ability on him.
- Play a few stages until you have 200 sacrifices.
- Once you get 200 sacrifices, go back to your Inventory and you’ll find the Awakened King’s Egg right next to the King’s Egg.
- Now, head to the Evolve portal to evolve Griffith to Griffith (Sacrifice).
Anime Vanguards FAQs
Guts is called The Struggler in Anime Vanguards. He is a Mythic unit, and you can obtain him from the main banner in the Summon building of Vanguard Plaza. The Struggler can evolve to The Struggler (Rampage).
To evolve Guts, you need to get the Dragonslayer sword by completing The Struggler Quest in the Special tab of the Quests menu. It’s a two-part quest that requires you to evolve 2 Unending Rage units and brand The Struggler with the active I, Sacrifice.
After completing these quests, you will get the Dragonslayer sword, the evo item for Guts in Anime Vanguards. You will also need:
-1x Rainbow Essence Stone
- 20x Yellow Essence Stone
- 20x Purple Essence Stone
- 30x Green Essence Stone
- 30x Red Essence Stone.
Tap on the Events button located on the right side of the Lobby screen and go to Frenzied Trials. Then, click on View Trials and choose The Falcon from the next screen to test The Falcon for free.
