Destiny 2's Graviton Spike is one of the shiny new toys in The Edge of Fate, and it gets even better once you find its intrinsics. This dual-fire weapon is tied to Kepler, and improving it requires you to unravel the destination's many secrets.
While other intrinsic upgrades usually hide in secret areas within an Exotic mission, Graviton Spike's improvements are concealed in Kepler's landscape. During your time in the The Edge of Fate destination, you might have encountered some yellow plants that don't seem to be just part of the scenery, which are part of a bigger mystery.
Damaging these plants with any weapon or ability will show an Immune prompt, even though they're marked red on your reticle. If you have Graviton Spike, however, you can use the hand cannon to shoot at the plants with its Arc projectiles, then change to Stasis mode to break the crystal that appears inside them. This opens up other passageways where you can upgrade this Exotic weapon.
All Graviton Spike Intrinsic Upgrade Locations in Destiny 2

Each Graviton Spike intrinsic is locked behind a set of two mechanics: the Arc-coated plant and a Matterspark section nearby. Here's what you must do to unlock all upgrades, as shown by content creator HarryNinetyFour.
Where to find all Graviton Spike Intrinsic Upgrades in Destiny 2
The weapon's secrets are scattered across three areas:
- The Caldera (center)
- The Stellar Sink (southwest)
- Curtilage Divide (east)
The Caldera Intrinsic Upgrade Location

Land on the Caldera, Kepler's main zone. Walk down the stairs and take a left. Turn left again and look for an Arc-coated plant. Shoot it with Graviton Spike's Arc mode, then swap to Stasis and shoot it until it breaks. Look to the right to find an opening for Matterspark, then crawl through the hole in ball form and shoot another plant that spawns there. This will turn off the fan behind you, letting you walk past it to grab one of Graviton Spike's upgrades.
The Stellar Sink Intrinsic Upgrade Location

Go for the Assimilated Easement landing zone and take the middle path down to the Stellar Sink. Use Mattermorph to open the way, then take the Matterspark shortcut on the left. From there, look for a round door at the far end of the room, to the right of the tall infested pillar.
Inside, you'll find a small room with another mysterious plant amid the fungus on the top of the area. Shoot it with Graviton Spike as usual, then quickly head inside the Matterspark shortcut by the root. Grab the intrinsic upgrade inside and teleport to the final location.
Curtilage Divide Intrinsic Upgrade Location

From the Curtilage Divide landing zone, head into the Matterspark shortcut in the building in front of you. Once you're on the other side, take two lefts and hug the corridor by the green lamp. It leads you to an industrial area filled with Fallen.
Climb the round platform to your left and look down to find a shack with another mysterious plant and a few objects you can move with your newfound telekinetic powers. Turn around and grab the Mattermorph off a fungus on a ledge, then use it to move the panels by the construction. While it's active, shoot the plant with Graviton Spike to freeze the fan below you, letting you access the final intrinsic inside.
Upgrading your Graviton Spike intrinsics lets you customize the weapon's barrel, magazine, and stock, which opens up new options to fine-tune the weapon to your liking. The hand cannon also has different catalysts, though the process to getting them is still somewhat unclear.
