How to get Acorns in Grounded 2

Acorns are scattered across many areas in Grounded 2, but you’ll need an ample supply for building structures and crafting sturdy armor to survive early-game enemies. While they can be found throughout the map, knowing a few reliable spots can make it much easier to stock up efficiently.

How to find Acorns in Grounded 2

To find Acorns in Grounded 2, make your way to the Entrance region on the map, located on the south side of the map. The area is filled with yellow dry grass, making it easier to find Acorns and harvest their parts. The area is relatively easy to find as you just need to go south from the Ranger Outpost: Snackbar.

Each Acorn has two parts you can get from harvesting it with your Omni-Hammer: the Top and the shell. Both have different uses, and you’ll also need to upgrade your Omni-tool to get the hammer functionality by using the Ranger Station. You can spend 300 Raw Science points, two pebblets, and one sap to make the upgrade.

Once you’ve got the Omni-Hammer, search for the Acrons that spawn around the Entrace area—they’re also sometimes hidden. They’re guarded by hostile bugs around them, so you’ll have to defeat them and bust open the Acron to get your materials. You can also find five Acrons near the Ice Cream Truck near the Blueberry trees to the south, which is also a good spot to visit in mid to late game.

Once harvested, the Acrons spawn in the same spot in the future, so we recommend you mark these spots on your map and come back after a few days to restock.

How to use Acorns in Grounded 2

The Acorns are primarily used in building the Hatchery, which is used to get the first buggy in the game. After that, while incubating the ant egg, you also need an Acorn shell. They’re also used to make the Acorn Face, Plate, Greaves, and Shell, which are great early-game armor for the players to take less damage from the enemies.

You can also build multiple important buildings, such as the Sap Catcher, Ant Nest, Spinning Wheel, and Smoothie Station, to brew potions. You can also use the Acorn shell to make various wall mounts using different enemy body parts to proudly showcase your triumphs.
