A Northern Quarter café is offering students a free pint with every grilled sandwich they purchase throughout October.
Every Wednesday between 2pm-4pm Northern Soul are running the deal which allows students to pick any sandwich from their menu and enjoy a beer or cider on the house.
In a post across their social media, the café announced: “Students! Free booze is yours!
“You heard it here first! Through October we are offering you guys an unbelievable deal. A free pint when you buy a grilled cheese.”
The cafe originally started as a premise on Church Street, and expanded to the venue on Tib Street in 2019 , though the original stall still remains.
Speaking previously to Manchester Evening News, Dan Place, director of Northern Soul said: "People love Northern Soul because you get a smile when you come in, you get good music, it's an old school style of service.
"We're kind of cool because we're really uncool but always so welcoming. That's what we want to take with us. We just don't want to lose our soul.
"We're so proud of our Manchester roots.”
The menu includes options such as the Cuban Pete, which is filled with pulled pork, ham hock, Swiss cheese, sweet pickles and mustard, and the recently returned New Yorker which is stacked with pastrami, rocket, pickle relish and American cheese.
There are also a selection of cheesy sides, and the beers on offer include Beavertown, Budweiser and Grater Lager, as well as ciders and spirits.
