CrossCountry is offering passengers 25% off fares to travel around the UK in January.
The rail company - which runs services from Newcastle , Durham, Darlington, Chester-le-Street, Morpeth , Alnmouth and Berwick to stations around England, Scotland and Wales- offers a 25% discount to customers who book advance train tickets for travel between Monday January 13 and Friday January 31.
Destinations on the CrossCountry network include Edinburgh, Glasgow, York, Leeds, Sheffield, Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester, Cambridge, Southampton, Oxford, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Plymouth and as far as Penzance in Cornwall and Aberdeen in north-east Scotland.
To get the discount, book tickets online through CrossCountry by January 26 and use the code: JAN25. Customers can use the code for as many journeys as they like. The discount only applies to first class and advance single tickets bought through CrossCountry's site .
The discount can be applied to a maximum of 18 tickets per transaction and can be used in conjunction with a Railcard.
