The government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme has seen people flocking to restaurants to get a cheap meal.
The scheme offers up to £10 off a meal in participating restaurants but there are some things you cannot get using the discount. It only works on dining in and those who want takeout or food via drive thru at fast food outlets will not be able to get money off.
Takeaways are also exempt from the scheme, which is designed to encourage people to go and sit in restaurants.
Finally, the discounts are not available between Thursday and Sunday because it is only live on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Luckily those ordering a KFC, McDonald's or Burger King across Merseyside this weekend can still get £10 off their order but it means using a different deal than the government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme.
