You no longer need a head for figures or an eye for design to produce informative and compelling infographics. From maps and charts to interactive infographics, simple, free software can make creating data visualisations easier than you might think. This course shows you how to create your own infographics – no matter how little experience of coding you have.
Whether you want to create infographics for a website, presentation or for editorial use, this course will open up a new world of communications. You'll learn how to use import.io to create web crawlers to find the information you need, and extract the raw data from any website without writing a single line of code. Then, data visualisation experts Sophie Sparkes and Alex Gimson will show you how to easily create and publish attractive, interactive data visualisations using Tableau's simple drag-and-drop interface.
By the end of the evening, you'll know how to scrape web pages for data, find stories in a mass of figures, and get involved with the new revolution in instant storytelling.
This course is for you if...
