While Bristol already has a lot of million pound properties for most people owning a house of such value will feel like a distant dream.
But, it might not be as far off as you think.
Property website Zoopla has a calculator which works out when your home may be worth £1million, based on its current estimated value and past annual growth rate. It also tells you how many properties there are worth £1million or more in your area.
It says a two-bedroom end-of-terrace house in St George which is currently worth an estimated £135,000 could be worth £1million in 2067.
At the same time, a four-bedroom detached property in Bradley Stoke which Zoopla estimates is currently worth £320,000 could hit the £1million mark in just 29 years.
Of course people who own property in some parts of the city are likely to get there much quicker, with someone who owns a £484,000 flat in Clifton looking to more than double its value to £1million by just 2039.
In fact, there are more than one thousand homes in Clifton and the surrounding area already worth more than £1million.
And if you're looking at buying somewhere, we've rounded up the Bristol areas named the best places to live within the past five years.
