How to find out if your favourite restaurant is taking part in Eat Out to Help Out scheme

Those hoping to take advantage of the new Eat Out to Help Out scheme throughout August can now check which restaurants will be participating.

A new postcode checker has launched to help diners locate restaurants and pubs now offering the discount.

The scheme was first unveiled by chancellor Rishi Sunak on July 9, along with a six month VAT cut on days out, staycations and takeaways.

The Eat Out to Help Out scheme launched yesterday, August 3, and offers diners 50% off meals and non-alcoholic drinks, up to £10 a head, in restaurants, cafés and pubs and from August 3 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The Eat Out to Help Out restaurant finder is available on the GOV.uk website, reports the Mirror.

You can also find an extensive list of Liverpool restaurants taking part here.

Participating establishments will be fully reimbursed for the 50% discount and will be able to apply for the cash via a soon-to-launch online portal.
