During Disney Dreamlight Valley's Emotional Rescue quest within the Inside Out realm, you'll meet Joy for the first time and help her regain some of Riley's long-term memories. Along the way, she'll reveal that Sadness is also handling her memories, prompting you to investigate.
Before you go and find Sadness, you'll need to wear a Mind Worker helmet and some gloves so you don't hurt yourself. But you won't find them on the floor, and there's no crafting recipe for them. Fortunately, all you'll need to do is snoop around a few lockers.
Mind Worker Helmet and Gloves location in Disney Dreamlight Valley
You'll find the Emotional Rescue quest's Mind Worker helmet and gloves inside some lockers under a staircase. There are five lockers to interact with, with one set having a bundle of Everlasting Cotton Candy and the other set holding some clothing bags. Open these bags to claim and equip your Mind Worker gear.

Starting from Joy's console, turn toward the crafting bench before running forward. As you pass the orb displays, turn right to spot a staircase leading up to a small structure. You'll find the five lockers underneath this staircase.
There are five symbols on each locker. Opening the purple and orange ones will give you some Everlasting Cotton Candy, which you'll need for a future quest task. The Mind Worker helmet and gloves are in the red and blue lockers. They'll initially appear as clothing bags, so you'll need to open these and either equip them through their redemption screens or open your Wardrobe and interact with Joy's quest category.
Once you equip your Mind Worker helmet and gloves, the Emotional Rescue quest will automatically progress, letting you use the realm's elevator to access the long-term memory domain of Riley's mind. Entering this area immediately completes the Emotional Rescue missions and starts Out of the Blue, introducing you to Sadness after traversing a brief maze.
Although you'll only need the Mind Worker helmet and gloves for the Inside Out realm's questline, you can equip them whenever you wish through your Wardrobe menu if you like how they look or want to use them for a DreamSnaps competition. If they're introduced during additional quests in future updates, you'll be able to find them through the Hats and Gloves sections of the wardrobe menu, by interacting with the quest's category, or using the wardrobe menu's filters.
