How to find Google's hidden Wizard of Oz ruby slippers feature

It's hard to believe that The Wizard of Oz was released 80 years ago.

Judy Garland's portrayal of Dorothy in the ruby red slippers is iconic and still loved as much today as it was in 1939.

To mark the occasion, Google has included a hidden feature that will delight film fans.

Anyone who Googles "Wizard of Oz" will see the usual web results, with the addition of a pair of sparkling ruby red slippers.

Click on the red shoes (Google)

Click on the shoes to get a surprise.

Of course, in the film Dorothy clicks her heels together three times and says "there's no place like home".

So, when you click on the shoes the screen will spin into a tornado and you'll hear Judy Garland say those words.

Then the screen goes black and white, in the same way the film ends.

If you click on the little tornado symbol, Dorothy is heard shouting "Aunt Em!" as the little house spins in the Tornado, mimicking the start of the film.

Meanwhile, Renée Zellweger is set to portray the actress in new biopic Judy which will be released in October.

Judy is reportedly based on the memoirs of film producer Sidney Luft, the third of Judy’s five husbands.
