Ahead of Christmas, people are scrambling to get their Covid booster jabs to ensure their festive plans can go ahead.
Boris Johnson, in an address to the nation on Sunday, urged every adult to take up the booster dose of the vaccine in a bid tocombat the rapidly spreading Omicron variant.
The new strain is set to become the dominant strain of the virus within days having hospitalised 10 and killed one in the UK.
The rush for boosters has seen the NHS booking website crash, while the armed forces have been drafted in to help administer as many jabs as possible before the end of the month as the government aims to hit its target of offering jabs to everyone over the age of 18 by the end of the year.
These efforts will require some one million people to get the jab per day between now and the start of 2022.
Over 30s are now able to book online via the NHS website, while those between 18 and 29 are not yet able to pre-book.
It is expected that over 18s will be able to book from Wednesday, December 15, but until then will need to rely on walk-in centres.
Walk-in sites don't require people to be registered with a GP and are instead open to all.
Walk-in jabs are still dependent on you having had received your second jab at least two months beforehand and not having symptoms at Covid-19 when you turn up.

People looking to find a booster jab can use the handy NHS postcode finder to locate their nearest centres.
The service will provide details of your closest centres where walk-ins could be available, including the distance, name and the minimum age visitors need to be.
It also provides maps and directions to get there as well as opening times and which vaccines are available.
People looking for a walk-in jab may include under 30s or people who cannot book a jab at a convenient time.

Walk-in jabs do not require you to book in advance, however, whether you are able to get one when you go will be dependent on a number of factors, including vaccine availability and how free staff are.
Successfully getting a walk-in jab is no guarantee with long queues likely, especially at peak times.
Walk-in queues are likely to be outside, so make sure you take a layer with you when you go to get one.
In a Tweet, the NHS said: "The Covid vaccine booking service is currently facing extremely high demand so is operating a queuing system.
"For users aged 18-29, please be aware that booking opens on Wednesday 15 Dec.
"For all others experiencing waits, we would advise trying again later today or tomorrow."
