If you thought the Tropics biome was hard, you must not have tried the new Mesa biome in PEAK. Thankfully, there are a few extra items added along with this tough new update to help you survive the intense heat.
One of these items is the Parasol, a colorful umbrella for the hot sun. Find out below how to find and use the Parasol in PEAK.
How to find the Parasol in PEAK
The Parasol is an item specific to the Mesa biome because it helps protect you or your team against the sun. Because of this, you are most likely to find the PEAK Parasol while trekking through the sandy Mesa wilderness.

The Parasol is a rainbow-colored umbrella, available in any luggage you find during your adventure. It is classed as a regular item, not magical or rare like Pandora’s Lunchbox or the Bugle of Friendship, so it should be readily available.
Saying that, there is no real guarantee that you will find it during your trip. Parasol spawns are just as random as any other item. You may have to open a lot of luggage before you find one.
How to use the Parasol in PEAK
When you do finally get your hands on a Parasol in PEAK, it is relatively simple to use. It has no limit to its use, so as long as you have it in your inventory, it is there to pull out when needed.

To open or close the Parasol, use the usual controls you would use for any other item: left mouse click or right trigger. You can also drop it for another Scout to use or throw it to them.
The Parasol will protect you from the burning sun as long as it is open. If you have to close it while climbing, eating, or healing, it will no longer protect you, so keep that in mind!
The Parasol will also help you glide instead of falling, as long as you have it equipped and open when you drop. While usually you would fall and get seriously hurt, or even die, with the Parasol, you will glide slowly to the ground and take no fall damage.
